Don’t let Alan Peter mislead you.
Imee Marcos isn't a law graduate. Never was.
UP checked their records, nothing there.
Princeton checked theirs too, nothing there either.
She said she graduated cum laude from UP College of Law.
She also said on Facebook she was one of Princeton's first female graduates.
Both false.
UP's own Executive VP, Teodoro Herbosa, told Rappler the registrar has no record of her graduating anything, no honors, no diploma.
She sat in classes, sure, in Arts and Sciences first, then law.
Sitting in class isn't the same as finishing.
Princeton's side confirms it too.
She enrolled in 1973, dropped out in 1976, came back in 1977, left for good in 1979.
Their spokesperson said flat out: no degree was awarded.
And yeah, her brother BBM did the same thing with Oxford. Claimed a degree, Oxford said no, just a special diploma.
This resurfaced this month because Senator Cayetano called her a "law graduate" during VP Sara Duterte's impeachment trial. Old fact-check, new stage, same unverified claim.
